Self-fulfilling prophecies can arise from low expectations. True inclusion means reversing negative assumptions and ensuring every individual with Down syndrome has a seat at the table — including in the decisions that shape their own lives.

A society where individuals with Down syndrome are valued, celebrated, fully included, and empowered to lead fulfilling lives while enriching their communities.

The Down Syndrome Centres of East Africa are a program of Upasuaji International — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to building sustainable, community-centered healthcare across East Africa.
